Funny how the belligerent #EU seems to have no problem with 5 of its nations trading over their land borders to Switzerland. No hard borders there.
Why is that?

Well, a) there's hard borders in place, and b) Switzerland is part of the single market, through a connecting series of bilateral agreements with EU nations. Av wait time at Fr/Sw border = 20 mins to 2 hours. This information isn't hard to come by.

There was a hard border with watchtowers, soldiers, customs posts. Roads were physically blocked. Or is reality up to 1998 now part of Project Fear.

There was a hard border during the troubles, it was manned by police &soldiers. In 1969 I can remember being taken by my parents to Dublin by car and we didn’t have to stop at customs. During the troubles I travelled by train to Dublin without being asked for a passport

Good post, Ben. The issue is a big nonsense - quite theological in fact! Nice glasses btw!

FACT CHECK...this may be a new concept to some but really it's a vital part of social media before you make dim statements and post ridiculous videos making claims that are simply untrue. Read about the real life border that was in existence, Dopes!

Maybe we could crowd source a very simple history book, with photos, to explain Northern Ireland to the English.
