Of course! But I think that oftentimes, adding those luxurious details that are a pain in the ass to implement, just for an extra bit of shiny, is still worth it for small teams and solo devs.

Also I guess it works to your advantage to iterate on the same game for what, 30 years? Maybe some of this one-off stuff is actually just built into the engine from one of the last 5 games.
