Okay I think the problem is that "Replies" are technically different than "New Tweets"

Hitting "Tweet" and hitting "Reply" are, now, I guess, treated completely differently. A tweet is no longer a tweet.

Hitting "Tweet" and starting with a @ username means everyone sees it. Hitting "Reply" means there's traditional visibility.

Which, yikes, I think they just made it more confusing unless the UI changes drastically to distinguish the two

Unless it's a "Reply" which is why the bullet point discusses now being able to retweet your own tweets

I dunno, seems pretty clear to me. The unclear part is how replies function, which took me a while to understand.

I think the problem is that in their internal product speak "Replies" and "New Tweets" are like, proper noun different things
