Things I desperately want: a book on computer file organization hierarchies/taxonomies
@luthyr We need to talk. What's you base level structure here? I've recently been experimenting with moving to year-based folders

@benedictfritz Post-school has it sorted by either major project or by Job (subdivided by year in some cases), or go in my personal folder. -
@luthyr Interesting. "My Documents" has always felt way too broad for me and I usually try subdividing a level higher - 6 more replies

@benedictfritz A separate thing I do is give a custom icon for each folder at high levels, which makes it easier to jump to folders. -
@luthyr@benedictfritz if you're on a Mac, color code folders. Green - work, blue - personal, red - "personal work"pic.twitter.com/MenUPq64Zn
