Today I learned the term "Orthogonal Interacton" from @benedictfritz - Mechanics that have a hard intersection with other mechanics.
@willychyr Or now that I think about it more I suppose they're non-orthogonal if they don't interact? Maybe this is a bad word after all

@benedictfritz@willychyr I think of it in terms of non-overlapping mechanics, but I think different designers use it in different ways. -

@benedictfritz@willychyr It kinda works as a term to describe systems that shouldn't interact but are forced to due to a framework. -
@benedictfritz@willychyr Like two mechanics that use physics and so must avoid each other using collision layers and workarounds.
