Question: I want to do stuff on my Windows machine at home using my Mac at the office. What's the best way to do this?
This is the one way I tried and it worked great locally on my network, but I couldn't figure out how to make it work once I was at the office? I feel like the problem was the IP address I was using was the local IP and couldn't find an IP that would work remotely.

I use ZeroTier to set up the VPN for this WireGuard is another option, but it doesn't do NAT-NAT traversal

Scrolling through replies here to also recommend ZeroTier! One advantage is that you can still use ZT IPs on a roaming device like a laptop. It'll traverse locally if both devices end up on the same physical network (although still incur encryption overhead).

yeah you'll probably have to do some firewall junk and make sure you know the external IP of your home machine. it's kind of a hassle
@bricepuls prob has the right idea with chrome remote desktop, you barely have to configure anything to use itThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
