After doing AR for a while I'm starting to think the main thing holding back AR and VR is that developer tooling is really bad. Building to device is just such a pain and the iteration loop is so painfully slow it kills any enjoyment
Yeah the whole thing. Building, pushing to device, picking up device, adjusting position to use device (and in AR's case, going through room detection initialization process)

IMO it's building/booting that compounds the feeling of non-immediacy, and fixing that would render the others negligible (ok except for room initialization- that's something where tooling can/should certainly exist to cache that info). like, if you know that between builds, /

there's *for sure* at least 30s of delay (no matter how small any other change/delay is), that's the difference between "I take the headset off, make the change, build, wait for finishing, put the headset back on" and "peek outside of the headset to change one line"
