Our paper out today in ( )! We combined lots of open data from mouse cortex to show a common hierarchical spatial gradient of variation; gene-expression gradients vary with T1w:T2w similarly in mouse and human 🐭🧠🤸‍♂️

Excited to share w/ , our latest preprint where we use the Hurst exponent (H) to better understand how excitation-inhibition (E:I) imbalance differentially affects the brain in autistic men versus women.

Within a month of the discovery of the Wuhan coronavirus, the has generated an assay for the virus and made the protocol publicly available to the world. This is an outstanding example of the importance of publicly funded scientific infrastructure!

Dual* first* author papers: did you know you can cite them throughout your paper as Jane, John et al. (2019)? copyeditors just did that for our proofs. Yay! This is what I call true shared first authorship. how about same in ?

The largest scientific exercise of our time. Drosophila becomes the first behaviourally complex organism with a full connectome and an unrivalled set of genetic tools. The best model organism for those who want to understand how a brain works.

There’s a very good case for putting stats like this at the end of the nightly tv news instead of fetishising daily stock market movements. “Externalities” like forest loss, species loss and Soil moisture are much more relevant to our common future than most financial variables

Autistic vs control group differences in resting state connectivity are "highly inconsistent" across sites meanwhile "even the basic directionality of effects is still debated (i.e., systematic overconnectivity, underconnectivity, both, or neither)"
