Why do TV channels get the right to hold a ‘leaders debate’ and expect the ‘leaders’ to turn up. Is there a law? Did we elect these TV channels? Who are they? Can I hold a ‘leaders debate’ and insist they turn up? Can I have them arrested if they refuse?
