There is something inexplicably hilarious to me about the Hellraiser reboot using the Law & Order logo style. "The people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups. The police, who investigate crime, and the cenobites, who torment them for eternity."
The word "HELLRAISER" in slender letters, colored white, with a glowing red light behind the letters.

Taking a bit of a different approach to texts this month, looking at some new and old queer Australian publications in general. I'll link here to a few specific issues so we can be on the same page though. pridehistory.org.au/camp-ink-editi starobserver.com.au/news/national- en.calameo.com/read/000199795

I may be losing my mind from stress but I refuse to let that stop me planning queer reading group! Next month I've decided we're gonna talk about one of my favourite things: queer community press. Will post readings/details tomorrow. Particularly cool, it's all Australian stuff!

Far out I am so tired, need to stop punishing myself with ineffective work and just try to get some good sleep. I'm in that shitty anxious insomniac zone where no matter how tired I am my brain will only let me get juuuuust enough sleep to let me sleepwalk through the next day.

this guy there smiling like, "if you don't give me $49 who knows what I'm going to do" the endpoint of corporate NFP marketing/fundraising to redirect funds from service provision to awareness raising

if you haven't played it, ffxi is an extremely cool experience. so sparse and atmospheric compared to a modern mmo, and I think its inscrutability adds to the good vibes. the expansions also have some the best stories in final fantasy, imo

I wonder how much the return to pre-AIDS sexual fantasies we're seeing in recent years are about an identification with or desire for 70s/early 80s gay masculinity??

images of smooth, muscled gay men from the 90s and early 2000s feel like a distant memory in the face of the beards and body hair that are celebrated now, but then I'm like, oh that's right, clone culture was a thing

Oh haha just remembered I just came back from a week and a half of leave, but that included me getting COVID and moving house, and then returning to all the work stuff sitting right where I left it

Really shouldn't be sending emails this time of night but the blissful respite from teams notifications and other people's emails is more conducive to productivity (I need a holiday)

Far out, this is the most prolonged period of intense busyness and stress I've ever had in a job, been in overdrive for months now. Even worse, I really *like* my job, which is a dangerous combination.
