I struggle with the transition too. Just started reading https://www.amazon.com/Shift-into-Freedom-Open-Hearted-Awareness/dp/B074CM34W6 … - in my limited experience thus far, his "glimpse practices" do seem promising as a path to everyday mindfulness. Recommended!

What is your brain wandering to? I usually find in my first meditation my brain wanders a lot. I get all of those small tasks done with and then I can meditate much longer on my second try of the day.

This is just what works for me, don’t know if it’s beneficial long term or really fits with the ideals of meditation.
