    Very glad to see coordinated economic sanctions well warranted for the invasion in Ukraine. Fearful we are about to enter a really, really dangerous period of economic and political instability in a country with a whole lot of nukes....

    This is an awful, inhumane, self defeating policy decision. If the Biden administration is really concerned about the Taliban and really wants to seize the assets, put all the money into WFP humanitarian relief or similar. Absolute insanity affecting the world's most vulnerable

    What a craven political stunt. As of Sept., the WFP estimated only 5% of the Afghan population could afford enough food. But sure, make them pay for the 9/11 fund.

    Strong agree! No better place for this than to join our team at in India, Kenya, and beyond. Great jobs for PMs, data scientists, data engineers, full stack, front end, data viz and more:

    1) If you're a software engineer into effective altruism, please seriously consider quitting your regular tech company job and doing something with direct impact. There are a lot more opportunities these days...

    The biggest constraint on "Data Science for Good" is not talented data scientists, it's high quality, relevant datasets to build on. Very excited about this collaboration with after many conversations with over the years. Hope this is first of many!

    We keep seeing US health experts make the same Hamlet-ish mistake, where they avoid making a time-delimited decision by citing a need for more data—but then when the data finally comes, it’s too late to act. The delay itself was a form of choosing.

    Don't forget to vote Philly for ! Ps. It's terrible that for judge retention lines on PA ballots there is no party ID provided. But for new judges it is. Makes no sense other than to strongly favor incumbents...
