The justices agreed the 100-word description #InvestInEd used to pitch the law to voters didn't accurately describe the proposed change in tax rate or the effect on income tax brackets. That "creates a significant danger of confusion or unfairness," Chief Justice Bales wrote.
To clarify, this is a split decision. We'll have to wait for the full written decision at a later date to figure out the breakdown of the Supreme Court.

Why not let the voters learn about the additional details and then vote? There is clearly a desire for an increase & for more education funding. It’s not as though signing the petition with a brief summary was the final step.
