    We should treat cars like we treat housing in the Bay Area. -Prohibited in most areas -Demand impact fees for roads -Inclusionary rules for public transit or provided subsidized cars -Community benefits in pedestrian safety It makes more sense applied to cars than housing.

    I’ve become accustomed to bad faith arguments from housing foes, but this crosses the line into pure fiction.

    The sheer audacity of the lies in this mailer is staggering. If I said anything close to the proportion of this, I would be and should be fired. An incredibly bad faith attempt to fear monger and exploit. Here is a thread on each lie.

    ESPN is always on in the break room, and I'm starting to understand the *mind-boggling* amnt of money spent on truck ads. These are not things humans are naturally inclined to desire. We need to ban car ads for the same reasons we banned smoking ads.
