Rip out the gas networks to homes and use the renewable electricity directly.

What’s wrong with our current source of electricity that’s come from a renewable source? How about changing the law so it forces ALL new builds to be extremely efficient, well insulated, have solar panels and a home battery which in turn can help balance the grid at night?

I have a feeling that hydrogen is being pushed by fossil fuel lobbies. Hydrogen needs an extremely high amount of energy so it can be split from water - all using fossil fuels so it can be produced. Meh

No thanks. Hydrogen is highly volatile and explosive. I’d much rather have electricity powered by nuclear and heating from an air source heat pump
