Actually, most of your electricity bill is actually cost of delivery through the network rather than generation cost... Even if generation cost went up 100%, you'd only see like 10% increase in your bill...

What is the cost and carbon footprint of their manufacturing/ installation, cabling to onshore national grid points then the constant upkeep? Cold/ calm days means more energy usage, I'm never gonna cut my energy usage just to keep a load of hippies happy.
