Maybe considering using some tape for creating the lines and make them more straight ? :)

i've done similar paintings myself actually, just using regular tape, one of them is attached. Did you paint away from the tape line and not towards it? That helps a lot, making sure that the paint does not get dragged underneath the tape.pic.twitter.com/adZoop4qSf

maybe this direction thing is part of the problem. also i think i have shitty paints!!
