Do you post actual gif files? If so, does that mean that Twitter is transcoding it to some lossy format?
i usually post actual gif files (limit 15 MB), which twitter transcodes to good looking mp4s. couldn’t get this one small enough so posted as mp4, and twitter for whatever reason mangled it!

perhaps “mangled” is harsh.

Used a rubbish codec is probably more accurate ;) I've seen webm used as a format for vector based animations, I wonder if they would leave that alone for you?
