Metaphor — Information overload as jungle. Chaotic environment we evolved in + might throw in a terrific/nasty surprise now and then.

The jungle metaphor here was not bad, it heightens your senses to the risk your environment poses. But its draining when you are being on vigil all the time. Better metaphor seems to be music — It's not information overload but the concert getting intense in harmony.

Coming around to the realization that understanding mathematics is not just about coming up with ideas or solving problems but at the same time working on yourself honing your ability to focus to gain a perspective and navigating the problem space in a principled manner.

Polysemy is a feature/bug of the network of ideas. Feature for ideas are polycontextual: an idea in one domain can be used in another. Bug for confusion = con(together) + fusion is common when you navigate this space. Shift of frames is in the very nature of order of things.

Working on mathematics, I am constantly reminded how much things fall into place once you find time to understand the supervening philosophy and undergirding linguistics of domains you explore.
