    Things I wish I had focused more when I first learned to code and maybe you should too 🤷🏾‍♀️: A 🧵 1. using git for EVERY PROJECT. Just learn the basics. Push, pull, branches, clone etc. It won't take long to learn the basics if you do them consistently.

    Seeing several recs for Machine Learning Guide as a good way to learn about ML / DS concepts via audio.

    This one is GREAT. A former coworker recommended it. The explanations really help you intuit the concepts and methods. Also, you don't necessarily have to listen in order. Pick and choose based on what you want to learn.

    This is great advice. Writing well has done just as much for me as knowing how to code. I'd add that if you're intimidated by writing, start a blog and write often about something you're interested in. You'll get better. At least that's what I've done for the past 10 years. :)

    People who need to write: founders, VCs, lawyers, software engineers, designers, painters, data scientists, musicians, filmmakers, creative directors, physical trainers, teachers, writers. Learn to write.

    Finally finished Edward Snowden's 'Permanent Record' and can't recommend it enough.

    I can unequivocally say, even only 50 or so pages in, that this book is required reading.
