Since Louisiana has been in @ericstates_info, ERIC has identified over 16K dead people on the voter lists and over 54K voters who’ve moved out of state, allowing the state to remove those records and prevent fraud. LA no longer has access to that data.
Important to note that @ericstates_info is governed and funded by the states that are members, incl, until yesterday, Louisiana. In fact, LA’s election officials have served on the exec committee of ERIC. And LA has corrected over 600K voter records overall thanks to ERIC.
It’s very possible this is just a misunderstanding and Louisiana will rejoin ERIC and restore its leadership position in ERIC and restore election integrity in the state as it separates truth from fiction.
This is disappointing news, for sure. We are compromising election integrity.
