the majority of their politics at this point boils down to targeting people who disagree with them or dare threaten their status in any way. they have never successfully fully punched up, but now almost all they ever do is punch down

and as someone who has observed and taken part in on-the-ground organizing, i can say their approach has almost nothing in common with actual movement-building efforts. they are an actively counter-productive force in leftist politics

It's not anti-intellectualism to hate people who lived in luxury getting a 30 year education that's meaningless and think it means they're better than the people who labor for their comfort. Most of us are dirtbag because the elites denied us the time and resources to be cultured

I guess that's the crux. If you feel so powerless, that punching up always fails. There's nothing left to do but punch down. This is why I think all radicalism is born from poverty and none can ever be erased while relative poverty gets worse. You can't solve bigotry first
