Heavy trading happened at around 8am UTC. Trying to understand if that trading happened before or after the announcement. Was this an email or something because I can't find what you posted online?

Managed to get my btc out of bitconnect at rate of 45 dollars. Using their exchange. For a 'criminal' organisation they sure could've done at lot worse. Also I've lost a good chink on bitcoin at the same time. So either way the investment was not great.

They gave you back worthless tokens (it cost them nothing to send you those), that you were able to still get $45 for it, means there's always a bigger fool.

I know. I've learnt my lesson. But it's not quite the disaster expected. Now 55 dollars.

For a lot of people it is. They're now playing everyone and trying to cash even more with bitconnectx. Just don't fall for it again, all lending platforms will eventually collapse.

Yeah I've received some of those story's as well, people selling businesses and putting it all into bitconnect....

So they release your funds into bitconnect coin but can't exchange it for bitcoin?

Yup that's right, there will be no liquidity left and bitconnect will take a run with the ~3000 BTC they have left.
