    Congrats to on writing what seems the biggest book about Texas since Lonesome Dove. This tome is 800 some pages with another 100 or so of notes and documentation. It’s almost like he and planned this moment on one of their epic bike rides.

    From -- Stat of the day: Last season, 3,652 home runs were hit in Triple-A baseball. This season, Triple-A switched to MLB baseballs and that number skyrocketed to 5,749(!!!). The balls definitely aren't juiced though.

    Agree. What surprised me are the lopsided numbers of QBs from Texas. My guess is that other positions it's much closer numbers.

    Interesting tidbit from -- Entering training camp, there were 18 NFL QBs from TX (Barrett, Brees, Carr, Dalton, Daniel, Foles, Gilbert, Griffin III, Keenum, Luck, Mahomes, Mayfield, McCoy, Murray, Stafford, Stidham, Tannehill, Webb). CA was second with eight.
