Hair math had been a thing in textured hair communities for a long time. Black wmn have been doing this math for a very long time and organising our lives around it. Iโ€™m glad to see this is being legitimized but I hate that it takes more of white womenโ€™s but in to do this ๐Ÿ’œ

Natural hair is only โ€œhardโ€ to manage because you have not yet accepted your hair as it is. Youโ€™re trying to get and maintain a pattern you donโ€™t have, in styles that make YOUR natural hair seem โ€œappealingโ€ as opposed to just wearing your damn hair.

Ahhh, never give up. Iโ€™m thrilled to say we have been named one of 4 winners of the โ€˜See It Throughโ€™ Fund! This fund was aimed at Black British creators and businesses that are chronically underfunded, and thus less prepared to weather economic storms (ahem!).

Black babies donโ€™t have to have perfect put together hair. Weโ€™re safer now. Let your babyโ€™s hair fully grow in and allow her follicles to know peace and strength before you start her on the life long Black girl journey that is hyper-manipulated and always โ€œdoneโ€ hair.

My child is banned from the school playground/canteen for her hair, its neatly braided in a natural colour, I gave them a lesson on the history of black womens hairs cultural significance of braiding, they chose violence, @BishopChalloner has a racist hair policy!!!

The GOP blocked a Senate bill to ban hair discrimination, which has already passed the House. The CROWN Act would ban discrimination of hairstyles and textures associated with race, like locs and braids. Studies show Black women are 1.5x more likely to be sent home from work.
