All journalists I have seen comment on this tonight - and that cut across the spectrum of views - were vocal in their criticism of what the Conservatives did. Called their actions grim or sinister, and described them as a serious problem. Let me make that all bar one journalists.

@bbclaurak and @BBCNews really have lost the plot. The only good thing to come out of a Tory election victory will be that the Tories privatise you. All of us who have defended and supported the BBC over the last 4 decades no longer care.
