Some steps back. Joanna had to have her CPAP increased and Rebecca's blood pressure is dropping and may have gotten an infection.

Joanna cleared of chromosomal abnormalities and moved to regular ventilator from oscillator. Plan for Rebecca is balloon catheter

Nitric Oxide removed from Joanna, feeding tube placed to receive milk. Rebecca had hair cut, nurse thoughtfully saved it for us.

Eventful morning. Joanna had seizure like symptoms, chest tube to remove air outside of lungs and minor brain bleed was found

Rebecca doing well. Cardiologists confirmed fetal echo findings - pulmonary valve stenosis and tricuspid regurgitation.

Joanna no brain bleed at this point, still on oscillator ventilator. As numbers improve, nitric oxide will be decreased.

Joanna sickest baby in NICU - had ultrasound to check for brain bleed. Named Twin B Rebecca. Both girls have blood transfusions.

1:00 this am Twin A got very bad and req'd Nitric Oxide as last resort to maintain O2 levels. We named her Joanna and prayed.

Twin B transported from UC to Cincinnati Children's hospital to be monitored for her heart condition and eventual surgery.

12:27 PM EST Twin A girl - 1 lb 10 oz and Twin B girl - 2 lb 4.8 oz were delivered. Both taken to NICU.

Right about now, Jessica was rushed away to emergency surgery to deliver the twins. Found out she was experiencing placental abruption.
