Gave up with insuring the dogs as they are working gundogs and most insurance companies will not cover them. As someone has said we have been putting money in an account.

Yep, it's tempting. Until the dog falls down a hole.

- Walk away, put the money in a savings account and if you don't need it after a year put it towards a good holiday
-
Yeah, but greyhounds are particularly susceptible to breaking legs etc.

Pet insurance, particularly 'more than', increases ridiculously every year. Gave up as couldn't afford increases. Keeping fingers crossed & will need to do a crowdfunder if anything awry happens.
-
You just have to keep hopping from supplier to supplier. Tesco just gave same cover for £28 per month. More Than wanted £41. Last year's price was £25.
-
I remember wanting cover for life (others will stop giving cover at the age your pet needs more care!), so stuck with more than to achieve that. Remember they went from £15ish to £25ish & felt too high a hike. Good luck
