Am I being thick. What’s the benefit?

Integration. All in one box with one subscription to pay. But the benefits are limited.
-
Yeah I don’t get it. Good for Sky to shout about but just an admission that their 4K content is limited.
-
I don't think 90% of the population care about 4K. They care about content, and Netflix broadens that.
-
Which they can already get at the moment. Yes some benefit for those who haven’t got another device but I’d be surprised about the market. Most people who are lucky enough to have a Sky subscription will no doubt have the ability to get Netflix separately.

Just ditched Sky for Freesat & Netflix, pleased with decision & wallet feels the benefit

-
Very tempted to do likewise. Do you use the Sky box for Freesat?
-
No, I sold my Sky Box’s on eBay (got £55 for the 1tb black one!) & I'm using a freesat Humax box. The upscaling of SD channels is far superior as compared with the Sky rubbish!

- So they should with a £30 price hike and a requirement to buy your broadband from them on the horizon.
