Yes, because the London Garden bridge was such a winner. 46 million spent without a brick being laid.
Wouldn't have thought either of those would be insurmountable

Press spent years writing the Channel Tunnel off as a white elephant. Indispensable now.
-
Weather, shipping, border security all factors. Johnson is deflecting from the last clusterfuck he backed. It’s a toss-up to see which would cost more (The answer is Brexit; eventually we’ll pay for the Bridge)
-
Why can’t the Mexicans pay for it?
-
As much as it pains me to say it, I'm with Collins on this one.
-
There are a bunch of reasons why we built a tunnel rather than a cheaper bridge. Basically: Geology, Meteorology, Traffic (sea), Tides, Maintenance, Security. Gist: Channel Bridge is a known duffer. Boris is a wanker. This is more PR fuckwittery.
-
Yeah yeah yeah. But I like a good bridge.
