Does it do anything your phone doesn’t? Which is, presumably, also left next to your bed…

harsh but true...

Genuine question really. I love tech for tech’s sake, but this is a hard sell for me. In truth, I don’t really understand any of the voice-activated stuff yet.
-
Don't leave phone by bed. Voice controls handy. Can use for music/video. Also to answer door (with my Ring video doorbell), turn on office heater, add items to my to-do list, and use as a mini TV.
-
Sounds like you should buy one. Or start leaving your phone by your bed.
-
You can also use it to prop your phone up on, so that you can see it from your bed.
-
Phone by the bed is horrible. Constant interruptions if you use as an alarm clock, as screen flashes notifications even if silenced.
-
Do Not Disturb mode! In fairness, I actually use my Apple Watch rather than my phone anyway. Makes a perfect alarm clock.

I'm also somewhat iffy about having a voice-driven system in the bedroom for reasons.
-
I've had an Alexa in the bedroom for months. She rarely interrupts and talks to me more than the other half does ;)

Same. And the camera included also puts me off.
-
Bit of tape would solve that.
-
Yeah but would prefer it not be there all together which would help with the asking price too. An echo dot with a small screen is what I’m after.

Bad(ish) speakers though - so I'd end up with that and the clock radio that's currently only used as speakers for a Chromecast Audio on my bedside
