Just had an episode of copper-bottomed incompetence from @DixonsCarphone and @ThreeUK. Trying to buy a 4G dongle to take abroad, but can't register on network as Three's systems are down. So can't take dongle home. Madness.
Yep, this is the same situation. Contract is clearly subsidising the hardware, but it's a crap system.
