According to Tory friends, both the left and Corbynistas haven't been vindicated as Labour didn't win, and it was a protest vote anyway. 
This was a two-horse race. Most of those other elections were not. Corbyn merely picked up share of UKIP/Lib Dem vote. As did Tories.

Yes, and Tories recorded their highest vote in 25 years, too! It really is in no way a Labour victory. Third heavy defeat on the spin.

It's not a heavy defeat. And it's largely down to Scotland unionists tactical voting - nothing they can do about that.
