Check the tech log. I found some unknown device ws constantly trying to log into mine. Since I blocked it the hub hasn't failed once.
BT convinced me to plug the Smart Hub back in yesterday afternoon. It lasted until 8:15am before dying. http://bigtechquestion.com/2017/05/09/hardware/why-does-my-bt-smart-hub-keep-disconnecting/ …

Weird. Any idea what the device was?
-
It was definitely the hub crashing. Red light then green then finally back to blue
-
Interesting. Thanks.

Wondering whether best thing is to use hub as modem and instal these https://madeby.google.com/wifi/
-
Thought had crossed my mind. Those Google things are pretty pricey, though.
-
They are but if they work and you never have to faff around with a bloody bt router again...

My Smart Hub started showing the 'green light of death' on Monday. Even factory resetting changed nothing so they're sending a replacement!
-
Good luck. Replacement no better in my experience.
