Fair point about the image size though.. but a 1Mb jpg isn't a terrible size.

Just seems highly unlikely that someone actively collected that quantity of images.

We would hope so.. as I said, perhaps a server for a network they all got pictures from?

@alexbloor maybe the found a PC with Tor installed? Does not sound right as you say. Not good whatever the truth is. -

Someone has done a file count and I guess that no-one has any idea of the veracity of the number. Not good journalism really??
-
Indeed. Sounds highly unlikely.

To be fair, 1MB isn't a tiny picture. This is 126KB:pic.twitter.com/Xayy8b34Y3

10.24Tb actually - but the chances are they were poor quality, ergo smaller file size. Good luck for the new season.

in police parlance "PC" is "police constable". The one with 10m child porn images on him sounds...a little indiscreet

It's *possible*. I use WD Red disks, and you can get them up to 8TB. I could house 8 disks in my PC. That's 48TB!

Perhaps they mean one server? There again there are 4Tb desktop HDs available now, so that's only three of those.
