Schools now forced to cover "non-religious world views" in RE. How about we stop teaching kids this divisive bollocks in the first place?

@bazzacollins Couldn't no 'worldview' education lead to a lack/imbalance of awareness and limit other subject comp? Phil, Hist, Arts etc..? -
@bazzacollins Talking considered, balanced, information provision, not 'indoctrination'. I loved RE and then Philosophy. Not now 'religious' -
@KevinPocock This Christopher Hitchens quote sums up my attitude to religion being taught in schools: http://www.azquotes.com/picture-quotes/quote-if-religious-instruction-were-not-allowed-until-the-child-had-attained-the-age-of-reason-christopher-hitchens-63-8-0890.jpg … -
@bazzacollins Interesting. A lot weighs on definition of "instruction" and "age of reason". Hard to know if he suggested practical steps. -
@KevinPocock Hitchens' general attitude to religion was there should be "a lot less of it". Worth reading his books on the topic.

@bazzacollins@KevinPocock should not be free choice of parents. Should be free choice of children, once they're too old for RE lessons.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
