iOS is too limited to warrant spending best part of £1k on an iPad Pro. Surface has the edge.

@bazzacollins Totally. It's a massive iPod touch with a pencil, against a portable power PC. If it has to be Apple, get a MacBook Air.

@MattJEgan @bazzacollins I'm not overly enthusiastic about Pro, but comparing two devices having not used one of them a bit premature, no?

@kennyhemphill @MattJEgan I've used iOS every day for the past five years, so I've got a fairly good grasp of its limitations :)

@bazzacollins @MattJEgan But not iOS 9 on an iPad Pro. eg split-screen makes a big difference. You may well be right, but still premature :)

@kennyhemphill @MattJEgan Split screen doesn't give me Lightroom, full Office, a file system and other things I'd want from a £1k device.

@bazzacollins @MattJEgan true; but if I'm using Lightroom, or even Excel in some cases, I wouldn't want to do it on a 12.9in screen at all.

@kennyhemphill @MattJEgan Fair point, although with high-res screens, you can start to get away with 13in for work.

@jonhoneyball I'd much rather have a MacBook for the price. Or, as I wrote a while back, a MacPad: http://mediabc.co.uk/2014/10/16/macpad-the-perfect-hybrid/ …

@bazzacollins @jonhoneyball I'm not sure that £1000 feels like good value for any portable device (which will be 'old' in 2yrs) these days.

@bazzacollins Has the edge, but lacks the appeal. I think we'll see iPad Pro sales trump Surface Pro ones very, very quickly.
