@bazzacollins 'backwards compatible'; is it fuck. They're offering them as downloads, and charging for the fucking privilege.
Making Xbox One backwards compatible is pointless, especially a year after launch. Nobody plays old games on new consoles.

@bazzacollins at near enough full whack, too, I'm guessing. -
@AdamShepherdUK Report I read said you'd get games you owned for free? -
@bazzacollins interesting if true, but what's to stop people picking up whatever they're after for a few quid at CEX? -
@bazzacollins it doesn't seem like Microsoft to pass up a potential revenue stream, and Sony did the same thing with classic PS1/2 games -
@AdamShepherdUK Microsoft says it's free on the press release: http://news.microsoft.com/2015/06/15/halo-5-headlines-greatest-holiday-games-lineup-in-xbox-history/ … -
@bazzacollins I'd love to believe it, and if it's true, it's great news. For some reason though, I just don't trust it in my gut.

@bazzacollins I also enjoyed many hours playing Ninja Gaiden (Orig Xbox game) on Xbox 360, so I guess I disagree :-) -
@timanderson OK, you beat me to the punch. -
@bazzacollins it's true that backward compat is most valuable on launch (when there aren't many new games) so it's all a bit late -
@timanderson Has the whiff of a v1 feature item that didn't get finished in time.

@bazzacollins New consoles are easily powerful enough. Lack of compat is s customer hostile action by manufacturers. -
@fortyrunner Research shows v few people play old games on new consoles. Guess you're one of the exceptions :)

@bazzacollins I have a ton of Xbox 360 games and would love to be able to retire the old console and make more space -
@timanderson But would you actually play them? Once you've got new console titles, the old ones tend to be forgotten.

@bazzacollins I agree up to a point, yet there's a huge appetite for HD remasters with often minor graphical upgrades. -
@SATAndrews Maybe I'm just jealous of the people who've got time to play old games. -
@bazzacollins Me too. I don't have time to finish off all the new ones!

@bazzacollins Can't agree there. We keep an old PS2 around just to play some games we can't play in PS3. Lack of b/ward comp is a jokeThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
