Windows RT served its purpose: to fire a warning shot to Intel to sort out its mobile processors. Poor sods who bought it are the victims.

@DrPizza Intel ramped up developments on the Atom processor in the wake of RT, espec on power consumption. -
@bazzacollins that is, Intel abandoning its original "nettop" vision for Atom happened before Windows RT. -
@DrPizza Intel rather rewrote history, there. They were pitching for smartphone-like MID devices; ended up diverted onto tablets.
