Macbook Observation: Windows laptops awkwardly include touchscreens, whereas Apple just puts the most important gestures on the touchpad
@mikejjennings What harm does it cause to offer both options?

@bazzacollins none, I just prefer the Apple approach of making more gestures work properly on the touchpad -
@bazzacollins scrolling, switching between windows, opening Mission Control and Launchpad, notification centre. All seem smoother to me...

@bazzacollins@mikejjennings What harm? FINGERPRINTS ON MY F'CKING SCREEN! Really hate that! -
@PaulOckenden@bazzacollins I accidentally swiped the Macbook screen early on, livid. Had to clean the whole lot

@bazzacollins@mikejjennings Sourcing problems + technical support. Extra cost for little gain supposedly. -
@avladd@mikejjennings I'd imagine it's easier to source touchscreens than non-touch these days. -
@bazzacollins@mikejjennings Maybe, but still more expensive when ordering in limited (low) numbers - I'd imagine.
