Really have been won over by the Linx 8 tablet. Two big doubts: will it be upgradeable to Win 10 (not currently) and will apps improve.
@timanderson Yep, I suspect you will, too, but some clarity from Microsoft would be welcome

@bazzacollins@timanderson Yes it will be. Microsoft has said compressed file system upgrades will be in preview soon. -
@sbisson@timanderson Do you have a link for that? Was looking for written statements yesterday but couldn't find one. -
@bazzacollins@timanderson Pretty sure Gabe tweeted it... -
@bazzacollins@timanderson Yup, it was@GabeAul. In fact he just said it again in a reply to someone. -
@sbisson@timanderson@GabeAul Thanks, Simon. -
@bazzacollins No worries. You coming to QCon? -
@sbisson Afraid not. Too busy testing dashcams for a Labs test!

@bazzacollins@timanderson both@GabeAul &@joebelfiore have confirmed tablet updates to 10 inc compressed OS. clarity enough? -
@marypcbuk Ta. As I said to Simon earlier, just couldn't find anything official on MS site. -
@bazzacollins@marypcbuk Still OK with 1GB? -
@jackschofield@marypcbuk It doesn't seem to lag too badly at all. Wouldn't want to push it too hard, but even copes with some 3D games. -
@bazzacollins@marypcbuk Yup, I agree. As you know, I also bought one to try (Argos 8in), but in retrospect, I would rather have 2GB... ;-)
