@robert_daly@TimSmalley Specifically states IE will be available as a separate browser to support ActiveX controls etc. -
@bazzacollins@TimSmalley bet you a pint there won't be a separate "Spartan", "IE" entry in the Start menu. -
@robert_daly@TimSmalley You're on. Mine's a Harveys Old :) -
@robert_daly Hmmm. Sounds OK for consumers. Businesses may still need IE as well. Compatibility modes rarely work smoothly. -
@bazzacollins Not sure why the fuss.Same as Chrome with blink.Fork WebKit, remove Apple cruft, end user exp stays the same. Not a new engine

@bazzacollins company politics will be the cause of that. Nobody standing up to make the bold decision to wipe away the past. -
@TimSmalley Legacy is an absolute cancer at Microsoft. -
@bazzacollins Yep. Sometimes you just have to let go, but it's difficult to do so in a company the size of MS.

@bazzacollins - My only question is will Spartan render websites correctly as Firefox and Chrome or do we still have to code work-arounds?Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@bazzacollins@TimSmalley look at the gif. There won't be two apps, when legacy mode is needed, internally rendering engine changes to IE11Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
