Just caught up with the Apple announcements. Cook's Apple has turned into a follower rather than a leader.
@kennyhemphill @CraigGrannell No, it wasn't. Everyone gawped at both. They were minor criticisms. Don't rewrite history.

@bazzacollins@kennyhemphill Not sure I’d say the same for the watch. That’s closer to an iPhone or an iPad, potentially. -
@CraigGrannell@kennyhemphill Can see nothing in the watch that others haven't done already, bar the slightly odd dial controls. -
@bazzacollins@CraigGrannell@kennyhemphill Nothing in feature list, perhaps. Those at launch have said build and UI clearly beat others. -
@adambanksdotcom@CraigGrannell@kennyhemphill UI looks unremarkable from a distance. No compelling use case is the bigger problem. -
@bazzacollins@adambanksdotcom@CraigGrannell no compelling use case was also levelled at iPad. ‘Just a big iPod touch.’

@bazzacollins@kennyhemphill I remember gawpage but also a TON of negative press + “it’ll never sell”. Few ‘got’ either device’s potential. -
@CraigGrannell@kennyhemphill I really think it's a gross misrepresentation to say "few" got iPhone and iPad. -
@bazzacollins@kennyhemphill I said the potential. People liked the tech but: hugely expensive; no keyboard; only web apps; no 3G; etc.

@bazzacollins@kennyhemphill I’d say the iPhones do look like they’re following but then Apple redefined the market, as you said.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@bazzacollins@CraigGrannell plenty have gawped at iWatch. You’re basing an objective point (lead v follow) on your own subjective response.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
