@bazzacollins I'm not sure that it is obliged to make content available on different platforms even if monopoly, though.

@charlesarthur Amazon is increasingly using its monopoly power in all sorts of anti-competitive ways. Needs reining in, IMHO. -
@bazzacollins it's a monopsonist, like supermarkets. Risk to consumers is harder to find - which is why regulators don't act. -
@charlesarthur Arguably harming consumer choice with Hachette situation, and the way it forces publishers to offer them best prices. -
@bazzacollins that would be a hard one to win in court. "They made prices lower, your honour!" -
@charlesarthur Only if you buy those books from Amazon. Means higher prices if you buy elsewhere. -
@bazzacollins@charlesarthur 1. Cut prices to the bone. 2. Obliterate competition. 3. Hike prices. 4. PROFIT!!! Notice the lack of ???. -
@CraigGrannell@bazzacollins indeed - except (3) is only theoretical, and courts have problems with those. - 5 more replies

@bazzacollins I've been trying to replicate that, but can't... -
@bazzacollins Oh wait, I lie. Shows that it works with iOS now. Very odd. -
@bazzacollins It seems to be a graphic novel thing... I hope your interested in this, because I realise I'm live Tweeting only you on it. -
@njkobie I'm fascinated. Honest :) -
@bazzacollins I'm all for shitting on Amazon right now (PICK UP THIS MONTH'S ISSUE OF PC PRO FOR MORE) but not sure this is evil... -
@njkobie Perhaps. Maybe it's a user experience thing. I'll let it go, but just this once. -
@bazzacollins They should probably make that link bigger, to be honest.

@bazzacollins@ABASAL_UCC@charlesarthur blatant anti-competitive behaviour. Unbelievable that no competition authority has called them out! - 1 more reply
