@BTCare A fibre cabinet has been installed around the corner from my house. How can I tell if I will be connected?

@bazzacollins@BTCare I agree. Lack of info is daft. Have you tried the OR Line Checker? That gives a bit more info http://bit.ly/1gS3Gjb -
@Yorkie71 Yep, it's equally useless :) Just want to know if that cab is going to reach me. They must know. -
@bazzacollins The line checker at least tells you what cab you are connected to, if at all. Or if you are Exchange Only line. -
@Yorkie71 It doesn't for me. Cab is about 300-400 yards away. -
@bazzacollins Sometimes if I see one with head in cab, I'll go and ask. Frustrating thing is that you may not be connected to closest cab -
@Yorkie71 Indeed. I just want to know. 4G now an option, so considering buying a SIM for one-off jobs that need uploading quickly. -
@bazzacollins 4G! You're lucky. We struggle to get 2G here :)

@bazzacollins@BTCare Openreach inform the council which cabinets will/won't be updated. Might be worth badgering them? -
@chriswiles Yes, but not sure council will know which homes are connected? -
@bazzacollins You can get that info from OR's cabinet check form -
@chriswiles Someone else said that, but it doesn't give me that data when I enter my postcode. Weird.

@bazzacollins We would be unable to help with that as Openreach are a completely separate company. -
@BTCare@bazzacollins - Barry, why don’t you ring Virgin and see how many customers they’d want to run fibre to your road?
