@jonhoneyball I agree, but 99% of the photos in newspapers have more than dust removal. They are all cropped, edited to some extent.

@ballantine70 if something of importance to the context of the reality of the situation is edge cropped then yes it matters -
@jonhoneyball but to an extent all editorial (text/pictures/video) is as much about what gets left out. Pictures seem morally worse, I guess
