@bazzacollins @KingstonianFC I always use one when referencing 'the K's'. Should it be Ks, then?
Point of order: @KingstonianFC stipulate that their nickname is the K's. Surely there should be no apostrophe there?

@Rookmeister@KingstonianFC I can see no reason for the apostrophe. It's a common misuse, but it's not possessive, and isn't a contraction. -
@bazzacollins@KingstonianFC agreed. 'K' is the nickname, or 'The Ks'. Meanwhile,@Lewes_cfc renamed 'the Pedants' -
@Rookmeister That would be a terrific nickname. May run for the@Lewes_cfc board just to get this passed.

@bazzacollins@KingstonianFC Hmmm. I would argue, with help from http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/words/apostrophethat …, it is acceptable for pluralising single letters. -
@PhilLuckee@KingstonianFC Hmmm... But there's no confusion with The Ks. It's perfectly clear. I'm now beginning to bore myself with this :) -
@bazzacollins@KingstonianFC What about The U's? The Us just looks weird, given that Us is a word in itself... -
@PhilLuckee Yes, in that case, where there is a possible confusion, I'd let it go. Although the U's is a shit nickname. -
@bazzacollins Yes, it really is. I'd like "Centurions" or even "Romans" for Colchester, given our history. All a bit "20/20 cricket" though!
