@bazzacollins You did try turning it on and off again. Didn't you?;)
My iPad 2 has suddenly started smashing through its battery. It's as if it's always on, even though it's not. No stuck updates. Any ideas?

@fortyrunner Oh, it take care of that itself every morning. -
@bazzacollins Try shutting down all apps, turning off location services etc, reinstall apps that might be dodgy and do a hard reboot - End of conversation

@bazzacollins Turn off background apps. Disable location services except for apps it’s essential for. Force-quit apps (yes, I know). Reboot. -
@CraigGrannell Thanks, Craig. I suspect it's a bug with The Times app, which downloads new editions overnight.

@bazzacollins tried restoring it to default? -

@bazzacollins are all the apps closed? -
@RamblingGeekUK Yep. My two prime suspects are the auto-updating Times app, and the horribly buggy Scrabble.

@bazzacollins I had same issue on Sat with iPhone - battery got as low as 2%. Plugged into car charger and immediately jumped to 20% -
@theballisround iPad is losing its battery within a day. Usage stats say it's been on for 12 hours, even though it's only been used for two
