@bazzacollins It's not government. Promoted by Osborne, but an industry project.

@njkobie Ah, OK. Who's funding it? Website is stunningly opaque. -
@bazzacollins ...but other than have a website and do interviews, not sure what else they do that'd require funding, tbh. -
@njkobie Pay the exec director, chairman, and 21 advisors listed on the site? -
@bazzacollins Given none of them actually do anything, I'd be amazed there's any pay involved. But fair question, which I will ask. -
@njkobie It's another of these projects with unmeasurable targets that Martha Lane Fox specialises in. Oh look, who's on the advisor list? -
@bazzacollins What I take issue with is the general dumbing down of coding, and the idea anyone should or could do it... -
@njkobie But then so do cats, the wrappers on Dairylea Triangles, and many other things... - 3 more replies

@bazzacollins Astonishingly, she sees it as an advantage! And it's utter bollocks to suggest coding is easier today - look at Objective C -
@kevpartner It's staggering hypocrisy. She says you must understand coding to commission a website, and yet she's running a coding project. -
@bazzacollins There's also the issue of pretending it's easy to code. It's like trying to get people playing piano by learning chopsticks -
@kevpartner Indeed. And if it was so easy, you'd have thought the chief executive would have it licked by now:)
