What I don't understand from @arusbridger's blog is why The Guardian agreed to destroy the drives?
@arusbridger You destroyed the data anyway. Surely that's ceding control?

@charlesarthur@arusbridger Unless I'm missing the point, it wasn't UK gov's data in the first place. On what grounds could they prosecute?
